Dress me Vintage!

   Hey Fashionistas!

Its valentine month, and nothing can be more classic than a romantic-vintage-work wear. So I am here to give your work wear a 2016 makeover! Yes, the more vintage the merrier (of course with different hair).

  Vintage work wear for 2016:

Its a known fact that though the trends keep changing, most of the time they are revised. You may still have those old clutches or shades of your mother that you boast as one of the vintage originals, or may be those beanies, scarves or the block heeled shoes!

Now is the time to bring them out, and show them the daylight that they deserve. But don't just go overboard with all vintage. Here are the little tricks and tips that may help!

  • One piece at a time

The cuts, fabric and silhouette already do their thing, adding anything more may make you look a person from some other era. So try and make it your own look, add the accessories that you like, and don't copy the classic movies its not costume party.

  • Add some color:

Make the ensemble your own, try the experiment with light mustard or beige, the big ones are the primary colors that pop out and may make you look out of place if done wrong.
  • Understatement is the trick:

Minimalism plays the main role in dressing vintage, tone down on the rest of the pieces for the sharp look. To make it easy, do the Monochromatic - use of one color in different hues and Achromatic - neutral colors only.

  • Prints and Drapes:

Your work suit can be a little more feminine and also make a statement if the classics of vintage era are involved! Prints/embroidery can transform the appearance of an outfit, while drapes makes you look sheen; so find a tailor or learn some stitching tricks for The Vintage 2016.

Drapes will always be considered feminine, and with prints to it this work wear is an ultimate vintage!

Vintage memories: The flower shaped buttons, fluency of fabric, cuts and silhouette, drape-prints-shimmer.

Same hued heels completes the outfit!

I hope the vintage dressing is now much easier for you.
So share the post if you like!
