Asymmetric Dresses

Hola Fashionistas!

Asymmetry? Cause symmetry is too mainstream. If you were waiting for the "next" thing after off-shoulder and cold off-shoulder, this is it. Asymmetrical fashion was already a hit in Victorian era, and continued to be the most experimented fashion trend, with high low skirts, one shoulder dress, asymmetric hairstyles, statement pieces (accessories) and much more.

So lets start up with the post solving your this year's favorite Asymmetry. Solving your questions of,  How to wear asymmetric dresses? Where to buy them from?

How to wear an Asymmetric?

  • Uni-color
Always try with a single color asymmetry first. The design itself is enough for its uniqueness, Experimenting with the prints and colors is a level up, but till you aren't comfortable, give yourself sometime to adjust. Here are the example in the second picture, with some added details, the garment looks jazzed up!

  • Asymmetric Layers
You could spunk up your boring outfit with asymmetric layering. Some layering makes you look like they're bulking up your appearance, but with long and short the attention goes on the garment detail and so it hides your flaws too easily!

  • Add Height
Asymmetric garments (specially long and short skirts) sometimes make you look leaner and smaller than you are, so adding heels to the ensemble helps a lot. Go for nude heels than bright or bold ones, cause the garment has much texture already.

Illustration of the week!

Hot pink, cause the month calls for bright colors, asymmetric neckline and one shoulder. The ruffle details in skirt have been kept asymmetric to give the dress a balance.
