Chartreuse: More than just a yellow-green color

  Hola Fashionistas!

Chartreuse is officially first post of 2016, well I hope you guys enjoyed your holidays just like I did! And my first post of the year is going to be about work wear, I know that after holidays the work mood just puffs off; so well how about adding a super comforting vintage color to your wardrobe?

Chartreuse, (pronounced as Shar-trooz) is a color that will just blend in and also standout at the same time, it reminds of a vintage feel but will refresh you in someway. Excited yet? Well see for yourself if the color brings some good old memories or not.

This is just not anyone's color, for some skin tones it maybe too bright while others find it to be dirty yellow on their skin. And this exquisite color is already difficult to find,so finding the right tone may ask for a lot of effort.

Now the challenge, which is to include it in your work wear is not difficult if you end up with a right tone and cuts and structure. A chartreuse trench will be just fine, while a chartreuse suit may be more than perfect! A drape will add more shine so if the tone is already bright avoid any drape or puffy patterns.

The colors that go along well with Chartreuse are black, olive, white, nude and grey. The color being risque enough, you would not want to pair it with bright hues since its your work wear. Fabrics like Chiffon, Silk, Georgette, Tissue and Sequence may not bring out the color well and may brighten up due to the surface; though opting it for other than work wear will end up to be perfect!

Chartreuse color for shoes, may be the most exotic pair you would ever own, you could pair it with an olive suede dress, black suit or a white skater dress!
